How do I get Salaryon?
Download it free from the App Store or Google Play. There is no invitation or waitlist: it is publicly available on both.
Do I need an account?
The calculators on this website need no account at all. The app asks you to create one so it can save your calculations and keep them across a reinstall.
Which devices does it work on?
iPhone via the App Store and Android via Google Play.
Pricing
Is Salaryon free?
Yes, with an account, and the free tier is not time-limited. Premium is optional: 14 days free, then £8.99 a month or £69.99 a year, saving 35%.
What do I get without paying?
Unlimited salary calculations for employed, self-employed, contractor, IR35 and Scottish taxpayers, the full tax breakdown band by band, unlimited net worth calculations, every Learn lesson and quiz, one saved calculation, one net worth snapshot, one budget, Cloud Backup and restore, and one insight drawn from your numbers.
What does Premium add?
Every insight rather than one, what-if testing before you commit to a change, side-by-side comparison of any two calculations or snapshots, net worth over time with trends, projections and retirement income, budget tracking against your plan, household income and wealth, unlimited saves with renaming and categories, and export to PDF, Excel or CSV.
How do I cancel Premium?
In your App Store or Google Play account settings, not inside Salaryon. Apple and Google bill the subscription, so cancellation runs through them. You keep Premium until the end of the period you have paid for.
Accuracy and data
Are the tax figures up to date?
The calculations follow the rates and thresholds HMRC publishes for the current tax year, covering income tax, National Insurance, student loan plans and the personal allowance taper. They are updated when HMRC changes them.
Where is my financial information stored?
On your device. The figures you enter are not sent to us unless you switch on Cloud Backup, which is optional, free and off by default. With it on, a copy is stored on our servers in the United Kingdom so you can restore it.

How do I delete my account and data?
From inside the app, or through the account deletion page on this site. Deletion removes your account and the data we hold about you in our core systems, and clears the data stored on your device.
